Celebrating 50 Years
Marking 50 years of history is an incredible milestone. Our journey from a rustic logging camp to a piece of paradise on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille is a testament to the unique blend of neighbors who have made up SPOA. We are a community that dedicates hundreds of volunteer hours to keep our infrastructure functioning, and serves as stewards of the land. While managing our own roads, water supply, and marina brings distinct challenges, our shared appreciation and willingness to work together for the common good remain the true binding force of Sourdough Point. Here is our history and the promise of much more to come.

Welcome to the Sourdough Point Owners Association (SPOA) website. Whether you are a new owner or a long-term resident, whether you have property along the shoreline or nestled in the mountain area, this website is here to keep you informed, connected and engaged. From meeting announcements to important documents and our event calendar, this is a place for everything you need to make the most of life at Sourdough. It is a resource available at any time.
Volunteerism is a way of life here. From supporting a onetime cleanup of the island to participating in an ongoing committee position, neighbors are encouraged to help in small and large ways to maintain the workings of our community.
SPOA is dedicated to fostering a safe and welcoming neighborhood. Our marina and private island provide a beautiful backdrop to family activities, association events and a peaceful walk. Kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, or fishing are all at your fingertips in the summer. Winter time brings a special quiet beauty, snowcapped views and evenings by the fire. Enjoy our little piece of paradise.
